East Longmeadow Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Team Facilitator to lead and coordinate teams for students placed out-of-district, homeschooled, or transitioning between schools.

You will collaborate with Educational Team Leaders, Building Coordinators and the Director of Student Services to ensure compliance, initiate evaluation processes, and serve as the primary contact for transition planning and placement decisions. Starting date: Immediately; Part-time position.

Qualifications

  • Ability to problem-solve with Educational Team Leaders and Directors of Student Services.
  • Familiarity with evaluation processes and service placement procedures.

Job Description

The Role: Team Facilitators are responsible for leading and coordinating team meetings and services for students who are placed out-of-district, homeschooled, in private schools, or transitioning between schools. They collaborate with Educational Team Leaders, Building Coordinators, and the Director of Student Services to problem-solve, ensure compliance and required processes, and confirm that all necessary services are in place. Team Facilitators receive referrals, initiate the evaluation process, and work with building principals to establish efficient teams alongside ETLs and the Director of Student Services for communication and guidance. They serve as the primary point of contact for transition planning and classroom or program placement. Additionally, Team Facilitators provide support to ETLs as needed.

Salary: $3719 per Unit A contract.
