Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) seeks an ACC Special Education Teacher to join our team in a supportive school setting. You will design and implement IEPs, collaborating with staff and families to ensure students reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to Special Education.
• TX Department of Education requirements for Special Education certificate.
• Experience with IEP writing and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with staff and families about student progress and challenges.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and obtain administrator approval.
• Participate in scheduled IEP meetings.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student growth.
• Invite family members to participate in progress updates.
• Create and distribute quarterly progress reports.
• Coordinate with on-site therapists on behavioral issues.
• Maintain a safe, productive classroom environment.
