Job summary

Elwyn is seeking a Special Education Teacher to implement IEP goals for students at the Davidson School. You will align instruction with PDE standards and coordinate with the IEP team to ensure current, accurate plans.

The role requires PDE certification, strong collaboration with families and staff, and ability to adapt lessons to individual needs while maintaining data-driven progress and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• PDE Special Education certification or eligibility for PDE emergency certification.
• Experience coordinating data collection and developing IEPs, progress monitoring, positive behavior supports, and assessment processes.
• Experience communicating with families regarding the child’s education program.
• Experience with adaptive technology preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Experience using PowerSchool and IEP Writer.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to IEPs with goals, objectives, and Present Levels aligned to PDE guidelines and LEA requirements.
• Develops and differentiates instructional plans aligned with curriculum and standards.
• Designs accommodations and coordinates with OT/PT/SLT for student support.
• Promotes positive work attitudes and appropriate social skills.
• Maintains confidentiality per FERPA/HIPAA and company policy.
• Supervises classroom staff, clarifies daily responsibilities, and supports IEP implementation.
• Communicates with families weekly about progress via phone or email.
• Maintains accurate attendance, student records, and progress reports.
