Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Phoenix, AZ.

You will diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps, collaborate with school teams, and deliver SESI's evidence-based learning models with smaller class sizes. Responsibilities include creating skill-appropriate lesson plans, implementing behavior management, maintaining IEPs and BIPs, and driving student growth toward academic and social goals.

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies including de-escalation.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports.
• Track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students inside school premises.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI's instructional models, strategies, and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet the needs of all students.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
• Maintain student documents such as individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior intervention plans (BIPs), incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth and progress toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
