Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• CAEP approved training or eligible for SC certification through the State Department of Education's approved alternative routes.
• Valid South Carolina certification (or eligible) in the subject area(s) employed to teach, Special Education: TVI.
• Ability to implement braille skills or to acquire requisite skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and refine district approved curriculum to meet evolving educational needs; analyze data to measure progress and guide instruction.
• Use technology effectively to enhance student learning and manage the classroom; maintain a safe, student-centered learning environment.
• Plan and manage classroom with clear behavior expectations; develop and implement IEPs and attend meetings as part of the educational team.
