Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, is seeking a dedicated special education teacher in Maryland.

You will diagnose learning gaps, collaborate with school teams and families, and deliver SESI’s evidence-based learning models and PBIS framework to support students with diverse needs. The role emphasizes smaller class sizes, ongoing professional development, and a pathway for growth within SESI’s nationwide network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.
• Adaptability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Use SESI’s instructional models and curricula to teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, and meet student needs.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain safety.
• Maintain student documents such as IEPs, BIPs, incident reports, and high-risk evaluation forms.
• Drive, record, and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise and monitor students, including to and from locations within the school.
