Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate in the subject area or eligibility for certification.
• Experience working with youth, preferably in a group setting.
• Ability to design and provide individualized educational plans.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized plans to meet each student’s goals.
• Demonstrate motivation and commitment as a total staff member.
• Support cognitive, social, and emotional growth through educational practices.
• Provide a classroom environment addressing emotional needs of youth.
• Maintain records on academic progress and achievement of each student.
• Log group interactions and participate in team strategies.
• Build positive, caring relationships with youth based on respect and trust.
• Collaborate with staff to improve the total program quality.
• Accept and give professional feedback to staff members.
