Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the academic, social, and emotional needs of the high school age student is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess instruction aligned with district curriculum.
• Provide diverse learning methods and resources to engage students.
• Develop and implement student Individual Education Plans and coordinate transition services.
• Collaborate with regular and special education teachers, LISD personnel, governmental and other service agencies.
• Plan for and supervise teacher assistants for students in the general education classrooms.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate student outcomes through informal and formative assessments.
• Effectively and consistently communicate and interact with students, parents, staff, and the community.
• Be a team player; working with other members to improve techniques, relations with the community, and school environment.
• Committed to continuous improvement through training and the use of technology.
• Perform other duties consistent within the scope of the position

Terms of Employment:

Full-time position. All terms per Master Contract between Board of Education and the Tecumseh Education Association/MEA.
