Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students in a Gastonia-area school. The role covers Resource and Adapted Curriculum, across elementary to high school, starting ASAP through late May 2027, with contracts open across settings.

You will develop individualized lesson plans, monitor progress, update IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teacher certification required.
• Experience in Resource and/or Adapted Curriculum classrooms preferred.
• Ability to teach across elementary, middle, or high school levels.
• Strong collaboration with families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide special education services in Resource and Adapted Curriculum settings.
• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans addressing varied learning needs.
• Monitor progress, collect data, and update IEPs regularly in consultation with the team.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and socially.
• Communicate student progress and strategies with staff and families.
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school-based activities.
