Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and DESE license for Special Education (Gr. 5-12).
  • Masters degree preferred; prior SPED teaching experience is desirable.
  • Dual licensure and competency with educational technology are preferred.
  • Experience with students with disabilities and autism is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities per state/federal regs.
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans aligned to state standards and IEPs.
  • Collaborate with staff to modify assignments for diverse learners.
  • Analyze data to inform instruction and monitor progress.
  • Maintain records and participate in IEP meetings and case conferences.
