Job summary

CTC Academy Inc. in Oakland, NJ is a not-for-profit organization serving special needs children aged 6 to 21. We seek a dedicated educator with K-6 Elementary and Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped certificates to join a mission-driven team.

The position is full-time (35.5 hours/week, 11 months) with a September 2026 start date, competitive salary from $60,000 per year, and a comprehensive benefits package. In-person work location in Oakland, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1 year teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with students with significant disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement a high-quality curriculum while differentiating instruction to fulfill each child’s IEP
• Utilize a wide variety of assistive technology to meet the diverse instructional needs of students
• Collaborate with professional staff using a team approach
• Provide supervision, guidance, and assistance to classroom aides and one-to-one nurses.
• Demonstrate professional collaboration skills by working as a team with parents, professional staff and administration
