Job summary

North Hudson Academy in North Bergen, NJ seeks a full-time Teacher of Students with Disabilities (K-6). The role requires an NJ TOSD/TOH or K-6 certification and a Bachelor’s degree. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• New Jersey Standard Certificate as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH).
• Appropriate New Jersey instructional certification for Elementary Education (K–6).
• Must meet licensure, endorsement, and assignment requirements per NJDOE.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement the IEP and instructional program for individual students.
• Plan and manage the school's therapeutic approach to discipline.
• Coordinate and schedule activities with other staff.
• Maintain classroom supplies inventory and instructional materials.
• Keep required records as needed.
• Write reports, meet with parents and professionals, and share information.
• Participate in school meetings, conferences, and in-service activities.
• Contribute to overall program planning and other duties as assigned.
