Dominion Care seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to empower students with diverse learning needs in Richmond, VA. In this role you will design engaging lessons, implement daily academics for a small class, and collaborate with staff to support student growth.

You will lead with Virginia Standards of Learning alignment, IEP goals, and evidence-based strategies, while fostering a safe, inclusive environment that promotes academic and personal development for every learner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, Special Education, or related field.
• Virginia teaching license in Special Education (provisional or full) or other licensed area.
• Experience leading classroom instruction of K-12 students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design coherent instruction aligned to SOLs for a class of up to 10 students.
• Plan instruction to achieve IEP goals and Virginia standards.
• Assess student needs and select appropriate materials.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Maintain a safe, positive classroom environment.
