Job summary

Nowra East Public School (NEPS) is seeking a Teacher Special Education to join our Connected Communities team on the South Coast of New South Wales. The successful candidate will work with a diverse student population and collaborate with staff to deliver inclusive, data-informed teaching and learning programs.

Approval to teach Special Education in NSW is required, with experience supporting students with autism and complex needs.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach Special Education in NSW and/or experience teaching students with autism and complex needs.
• Ability to design differentiated, data-informed programs to improve academic and social outcomes.
• High-level communication and collaboration with families, colleagues, and external agencies.
• Commitment to Aboriginal education and partnerships with communities and families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver differentiated, data-informed teaching for students with special education needs.
• Collaborate with families, staff and external providers to support learning and wellbeing.
• Contribute to an inclusive, supportive learning environment aligned with NSW curriculum.
• Engage with Aboriginal communities to support cultural identity and student outcomes.
