Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive classroom environment conducive to effective instruction and learning.
• Provide learning experiences correlated with approved curriculum and standards.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials adapting the curriculum to meet each pupil’s needs.
• Communicate learning goals to students using clear language.
• Facilitate small and large group instruction based on best practices.
• Use technology to enhance learning.
• Maintain accurate records as required by law and policy.
• Communicate with guardians about pupil progress.
• Participate in team reviews concerning at-risk students.
• Use data to drive instruction and place students appropriately.
• Implement Individual Education Plans effectively.
• Supervise students on school property and at school-sponsored activities.
• Protect students, equipment, and facilities.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and conferences.
