Job description

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific or eligible for reciprocal endorsement)
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly those with diverse learning and behavioral needs
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and behavior management strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and administrators
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and adapt curriculum to meet each students IEP
  • Foster positive relationships, encourage student independence, and support social-emotional growth
  • Assess and track student progress through ongoing data collection and collaboration with team members
  • Participate in IEP meetings and communicate regularly with families and staff
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to address individual goals
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education laws and regulations

This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, for 35-37.5 hours per week with a high school caseload. You'll have the ability to truly invest in your students and collaborate with passionate professionals.
