Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support students in an Ohio classroom for the 2026-2027 school year.

This contract role focuses on individualized instruction, IEP development, collaboration with general education staff, and fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment for diverse learners.

You will track progress, apply evidence-based strategies, and participate in ongoing professional growth within a supportive team.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ohio Special Education Teacher certification.
  • Experience as an Intervention Specialist or SPED teacher preferred.
  • Solid understanding of special education laws, practices, and IEP implementation.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, staff and families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted instruction and interventions for students needing individualized support.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with legal compliance and tailored goals.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote student success.
  • Employ evidence-based strategies to foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth.
  • Track and report student progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed.
  • Support an inclusive, respectful classroom culture for all learners.
