Job summary

Soliant Health seeks a Special Education Teacher for an upcoming academic year in a Colorado elementary setting. The contract role is onsite, supporting students with mild to moderate needs and fostering a collaborative, well-resourced learning environment.

You will work a 34-hour week with Tuesdays–Fridays onsite and Mondays off, allowing for focused planning time and professional growth within a supportive school community. Compensation is competitive for Colorado elementary SPED roles.

Qualifications

  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher license is required.
  • Experience supporting elementary students with mild/moderate needs and developing IEPs.
  • Ability to collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families.
  • Commitment to inclusive, positive learning environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with mild/moderate disabilities.
  • Develop and revise IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to align instructional strategies.

Job description

Make a meaningful impact in a supportive elementary setting as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work onsite, fostering success for students with mild to moderate needs in a collaborative and well-resourced environment.

You’ll enjoy a balanced workweek with Tuesdays through Fridays onsite and Mondays off, allowing for personal flexibility and dedicated classroom preparation time. The role is based at a vibrant elementary school where your expertise as a special educator will be valued and your professional growth nurtured throughout the school year.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Current Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher license is required
  • Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students, ideally within mild/moderate caseloads
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs that meet students’ individual needs
  • Strong collaboration skills for working with general education staff, related service providers, and families
  • Commitment to promoting inclusive, positive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students identified with mild/moderate disabilities
  • Develop and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), maintaining compliance with all state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and students’ families to align instructional strategies and foster success
  • Track student progress, regularly reporting data and adapting interventions as needed
  • Foster a caring, structured, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

This assignment begins August 20, 2026, and runs through June 3, 2027, at 34 hours per week—ideal for educators who appreciate a consolidated weekly schedule and are passionate about making a daily difference.

Compensation for this position ranges from $30.82 to $50.82.
