Canopy Children's Solutions seeks a dedicated Teacher for CARES School to prepare and administer curriculum and individualized education plans for students receiving educational services.

The role emphasizes planning weekly goals, delivering differentiated instruction, and maintaining a well-managed classroom with timely documentation and student work displays. MS licensure and appropriate special education credentials are required, with additional licenses preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Special Education preferred; advanced degree may substitute for teaching experience.
• Mississippi Department of Education License in subject area required.
• AA 206 Emotionally Disabled license must be obtained within three years from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Planning: Weekly plans prepared and ready by Monday morning; goals aligned to MS standards; IEP goals included as needed.
• Delivery of Instruction: Use differentiated instruction; ensure activities match outcomes and documented assessments.
• Classroom Management: Maintain orderly routines; ensure conducive learning environment; implement positive behavior supports.
• Professional Responsibility: Arrive on time; complete paperwork, grades, and reports promptly; display current student work.
