Job summary

Dresden Middle School is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join the staff of Weakley County Schools. The role requires an active Tennessee Special Education-Interventionist license and involves inclusion, pull-outs, and resource settings with paraprofessional support.

The teacher will plan, deliver, and assess instruction, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain records in compliance with district policies and state laws. Prior experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid professional Tennessee teacher's license with appropriate certification.
• Experience in the area preferred.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned to state standards.
• Prepare for and participate in IEP and evaluation meetings for students with disabilities.
• Develop a scheme of work, assessments, and grading procedures.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior.
