Job summary

The Chichester School District is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher at CHICHESTER HIGH SCHOOL to support students with disabilities. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with students’ academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Provide specialized instruction that supports students in accessing the general education curriculum.
• Utilize research-based strategies to differentiate instruction and promote student success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure effective accommodations and modifications.
• Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Implement behavioral and social-emotional interventions as needed to support student success.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws and regulations, including proper documentation and reporting.
• Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster an inclusive and equitable classroom environment that values diversity and promotes positive student relationships.
