Job summary

North Kansas City Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and coordinate services for students with disabilities. Responsibilities

Serve as a case manager for IEP development and implementation.
Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in both regular and specialized settings.
Communicate with general education teachers and principals about student needs and programs.
Collaborate with the school team on effective teaching strategies for students with disabilities.
Maintain accurate records of progress toward IEP goals and required documentation.
Participate in student eligibility evaluations and re-evaluations.
Help develop annual budget requests for instructional materials to support IEPs.
Initiate regular communication with parents of students with disabilities.
Utilize technology to implement instruction and manage documentation requirements.
Demonstrate strong human relations and communication skills.
Comply with safety practices and district policies.
