Job summary

Qualifications

• Missouri certification in Mild-Moderate Disabilities or related areas.
• Alternative qualifications acceptable as determined by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Serve as case manager for IEP development and implementation.
• Provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities in various settings.
• Communicate educational needs to regular education teachers and principals.
• Collaborate with school team to implement effective teaching strategies.
• Maintain records of student progress, services, accommodations, and parent contacts.
• Participate in student eligibility evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Assist in budgeting for instructional materials to support IEPs.
• Initiate regular communication with parents of students with disabilities.
• Use technology to support instruction and manage documentation.
• Demonstrate strong human relations and communication skills; follow safety practices.
• Comply with district rules and policies; perform other duties as needed.
