Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field.
Active VT Special Education teaching credential.
Experience with mild/moderate or moderate/severe disabilities.
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Knowledge of IEP development and compliance requirements.
Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to students’ academic and behavioral needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
