Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract near Ludlow, VT. You will support elementary students with diverse learning needs and help deliver effective IEP-driven instruction through the end of the school year.

You will collaborate with school staff and families, assess progress, adapt lessons, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines while maintaining thorough records and communicating progress to guardians.

Qualifications

• State certification in Special Education (or eligibility).
• Experience with elementary-aged students in SPED preferred.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance.
• Ability to adapt to varied student needs and learning styles.
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs to meet each student's goals.
• Deliver differentiated instruction to accommodate needs.
• Modify curriculum and activities for accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure each students learning goals are met
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to accommodate varied student needs
• Modify curriculum and classroom activities as required for accessibility
• Track student progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Partner with general education teachers for inclusive practices and collaborative planning
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress and strategies for support
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and professional development activities

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• State certification in Special Education (or eligibility)
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting highly preferred
