Job summary

EDU Healthcare seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in a structured school setting. You will tailor instruction, adjust curricula for diverse learners, and deliver supportive, small-group or one-on-one sessions.

You will track progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate regularly with families and school staff while collaborating with general educators and service providers to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education.
• Active state licensure or certification or eligibility before start.
• Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Previous experience working in schools or with children preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Provide specialized instruction in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Track student progress and update IEPs throughout the school year.
• Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and IEP team members.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support student success.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district guidelines.
