Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through ARD for each student.
• Implement instructional, therapeutic, or skill development programs and document preparation.
• Assess learning styles and plan instruction using appropriate strategies, materials, and technology.
• Present subject matter per IEP guidelines using varied instructional techniques.
• Manage student behavior and implement discipline per IEP, including crisis intervention as needed.
• Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Plan and assign work for teacher aides and oversee completion.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, principals, teachers, and colleagues.
