Job summary

IDEA Public Schools seeks a dedicated Special Education teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. You will develop IEPs, adapt instruction, and monitor progress to help students achieve individualized goals.

You will collaborate with families and educators, manage behavior, and participate in school-wide initiatives to drive student success in reading, writing, and math.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year institution is required.
• Experience in a Special Education classroom is strongly preferred.
• Valid Texas state certification in Special Education is required.

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs and IEP goals.
• Develop and implement IEPs for a caseload of students.
• Assess student progress and update IEPs throughout the year.
• Lead small-group instruction and collaborate with general education teachers.
• Maintain weekly lesson plans and communicate progress to families.
