Job summary

Acceleration Academies, LLC in Florida seeks a Special Education Teacher to serve as the primary instructional resource for Graduation Candidates, delivering competency-based content and guiding students toward graduation and post-secondary success.

You will collaborate with a team to provide academic, social-emotional, and career-oriented support while applying IEP/ESE/ELL accommodations, tracking progress, and partnering with families to ensure student achievement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters’ preferred.
• Florida 6-12 educator’s license with ESE/Special Education endorsement (REQUIRED).
• 2+ years of teaching experience (high school preferred).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a focus on inclusivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll new students through outreach efforts.
• Create Personalized Learning Plans for each student.
• Advise students and maintain regular communication with their support teams.
• Monitor attendance, academic progress, and student well-being.
• Plan and deliver subject-specific instruction in individual or group settings.
• Conduct ongoing formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
• Analyze data to inform instructional decisions and enhance outcomes.
• Support IEP, ESE, and ELL accommodations and attend related meetings.
• Provide targeted remediation and enrichment for students as needed.
• Contribute to academy initiatives, PD workshops, and school events.
