Job summary

You will implement data-driven instruction, create and review IEPs, and ensure compliance with district policies while maintaining thorough documentation and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; certification in Georgia preferred or eligible.
• GACE Basic Skills and Special Education tests required or exempted.
• Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Develops, implements, and reviews IEPs annually for each student.
• Collaborates with general education teachers and parents/guardians.
• Maintains lesson plans per policies and directives.
• Uses data to monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Provides specialized instruction per IEPs and supports students with disabilities.
• Performs duties to ensure compliance with procedures and safeguards.
• Facilitates use of instructional technology to support learning.
• Seeks professional development to improve service delivery.
• Meets needs of students with severe disabilities, including lifting as needed.
• Communicates professionally with parents and guardians.
