Job summary

COA Network Inc. in Berlin, New Hampshire seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small self-contained middle school classroom (grades 6–8).

The ideal candidate provides individualized academic and behavioral support, collaborates with families and staff, and maintains structured, engaging instruction for a caseload of about 5–6 students. This is a fully in-person contract role. Experience with IEPs and progress monitoring is expected.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Special Education certification/licensure
• Experience in self-contained classrooms for middle school
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in a self-contained classroom for grades 6–8.
• Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student needs and educational goals.
• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially throughout the school day.
• Collaborate with school staff, related service providers, and families to support student success.
• Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate educational documentation.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to IEP development and implementation.
• Create a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Provide individualized attention to a small caseload of approximately 5–6 students.

A school district serving students across middle and high school grade levels is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support a small group of students in a self-contained middle school classroom. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students in grades 6–8, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to providing individualized academic and behavioral support in a collaborative school environment.
