Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate/licensing for WV specialties and grades per WV Code §18A-3-2.
• Criminal background check required per WV Code §18-5-15c/§18A-3-10.
• Meets qualifications in WV Code §18A-3-2a.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kanawha County Schools' standards-based curriculum.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs.
• Integrate 21st Century technology in instruction.
• Collaborate with special education staff to support students.
• Coordinate designated school activities and field trips.
• Maintain classroom control and accountability for student achievement.
• Provide personalized learning and communicate with families.
• Support school improvement initiatives as assigned by the Principal.
