Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from a regionally accredited college.
• Licensure in Special Education/General Curriculum (88091) or eligibility for licensure.
• Knowledge of educational laws, regulations, curricula and cognitive development.
• Ability to instruct and assess students based on NC standards.

Aufgaben

• Provide special education services to students identified as disabled under state and federal regulations.
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned with students’ ages and developmental levels.
• Create lesson plans and adapt materials to meet IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain records per guidelines.
• Plan and deliver instruction using diverse methods tailored to needs.
• Develop and update IEPs using assessment data.
• Provide direct instruction and support for personal and self-help needs.
• Maintain classroom discipline and record restraints when necessary.
• Communicate progress to parents through periodic reports.
• Act as case coordinator, consulting with caregivers and school staff.
• Utilize classroom tools and equipment appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as required.
