Job summary

Shiloh Treatment Center, a community-based residential and day treatment program near Pearland, TX, seeks a certified Special Education teacher (EC-12) to implement individualized education plans for students with disabilities. The role collaborates with district partners and uses ARD-recommended supports and adaptive technology to enable learning.

The position requires a Texas Special Education EC-12 certification and both English proficiency and a Texas teaching certificate.

Qualifications

English proficiency in writing and speaking English.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience or eligibility for Special Education EC-12 certification in Texas.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with parents and school personnel to develop measurable IEP goals aligned with TEKS.
Plan and implement curriculum with accommodations and modifications.
Document progress with data logging and progress updates.
Administer and analyze student assessments including state/district tests.
Develop PLAAFP and annual goals based on assessments.
Prepare age-appropriate lesson plans and implement behavior interventions.
Use adaptive technology to facilitate learning and communication.
