Qualifications

• Must have completed a program of study in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a valid South Carolina teaching license or be able to obtain one within 60 days from hire.
• If required, must be Highly Qualified in the content area or become Highly Qualified within 60 days from hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time.
• Provide developmentally appropriate opportunities encouraging curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving.
• Plan and implement a dynamic classroom environment conducive to learning and relevant to students’ development.
• Collaborate with staff to provide comprehensive services to students and families.
• Ensure compliance with policies and documentation requirements.
