Job summary

IDEA Public Schools in Texas seeks a Special Education Teacher dedicated to helping students with diverse disabilities achieve academic goals. You will design Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide targeted in-class support across reading, writing, and math., ensuring progress for each student within allocated service minutes.

You will work on-site with a heavy caseload, implement state standards and IDEA curricula, track progress, and communicate weekly with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution (required).
• Texas state certification in Special Education (required).
• Experience in a Special Education classroom setting (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Adapt lessons to meet students’ needs and develop IEPs for a caseload.
• Implement IEPs, assess progress, and track learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with families and school teams to support student growth.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and communication with families.
• Provide in-class support across reading, writing, and math within service minutes.
