Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in North Texas is seeking Special Education Teachers and Coordinators to provide inclusive services for students with disabilities on our Irving campus. The roles involve planning, delivering, and evaluating individualized education plans within inclusion, resource, and LID settings.

Coordinators will ensure ARD/IEP compliance, coordinate the Child Centered Special Education process, and collaborate with staff, parents, and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required for both teachers and coordinators.
• Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification/Appropriate Licensure or Generalist with endorsements.
• 1–2 years teaching experience for teachers; 3–5 years for coordinators.
• Experience leading/mentoring teachers and providing PD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide specially designed instruction to students with disabilities.
• Draft and maintain IEPs, Prior Written Notices, and related paperwork.
• Lead ARD/IEP meetings and coordinate services on campus.
• Collaborate with related service providers, general education staff, and parents.
• Coordinate all aspects of the Child Centered Special Education process on the campus.
