Job summary

Selma Elementary is hiring a Special Education Teacher for the Behavior Unit (BAC) for the 2026-2027 school year. This campus-based position follows the Teacher Pay Scale and a 187-day calendar, reporting to the Campus Principal.

Responsibilities include developing IEP goals, ARD participation, adapting curricula, delivering targeted instruction, collaborating with general education teachers, and supervising staff as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
• Fingerprinting background check required.

Responsibilities

• Develop IEP goals and monitor progress for assigned students.
• Participate in ARD Committee meetings and IEP development.
• Adapt curricula and instruction to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed.
• Provide instructional support and supervise assigned aides as required.
• Maintain records and participate in staff development activities.
