Job summary

Buckeye Union School District in El Dorado Hills is seeking a Teacher Associate, Special Education to join our committed team. This part-time role provides instructional and behavioral support for students with IEPs during the school year.

Work hours are 7:45 a.m. - 2:15 p.m. (Wednesdays 7:45 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.). The position is at Oak Meadow Elementary and focuses on one-on-one and small group instruction, collaboration with teachers and therapists, and data collection to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience with children, preferably in a special education setting.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher with IEP preparation and implementation.
• Provide one-on-one or small group instructional support to students.
• Monitor progress and communicate concerns to the teacher.
• Assist with classroom management and behavioral interventions as needed.
• Support social and life skills development and collaborate with staff.
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain accurate records.
