Job summary

Granby Public Schools is seeking a special education teacher for our Alternate Learning Program to provide individualized instruction for students at the secondary level (6-12) who require intensive support due to emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges.

The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, the social worker, counselors, and related service providers to modify lessons and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction across all subjects, promoting student success.

Qualifications

• CSDE certification required.
• Experience with secondary students (6-12) with emotional/behavioral challenges preferred.
• Ability to modify lessons and differentiate instruction across subjects.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction for grades 6–12.
• Collaborate with social worker, counselors, and general education teachers to support student success.
• Differentiate curriculum and adapt lessons to meet behavioral and learning needs.
