Mid-Del Schools in Oklahoma City area is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide instruction to students with disabilities in a Special Education or General Education setting. The candidate will implement IEP services and adapt curriculum to individual pupil needs.

The role requires knowledge of IDEA, MTSS, and behavior modification strategies, with collaboration to support students in inclusive classrooms. Exempt, safety-sensitive position within the Special Services department.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Special Education teaching certificate; Mild/Moderate Certificate and/or Severe/Profound Certificate.

Responsabilidades

• Develops lesson plans and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to student needs per IEP services.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates pupils' academic and social growth and prepares progress reports per IEP and district requirements.
• Communicates with parents through IEP conferences and other means to discuss pupil progress.
• Maintains professional competence through in-service activities and professional growth.
• Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the working day.
• Participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities.
• Completes all paperwork to meet federal compliance timelines.
• Works with General Education teachers to provide accommodations for students on an IEP.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
