Responsibilities

• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction.
• Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior to create a functional learning atmosphere.
• Evaluates pupils’ academic and social growth and keeps progress records per IEP and district requirements.
• Communicates with parents through IEP conferences and other means.
• Maintains professional competence through in-service activities and self-directed growth.
• Supervises pupils in and out of the classroom as assigned.
• Completes all paperwork in a timely manner to meet federal compliance timelines.
