Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking a Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join a multidisciplinary treatment team at Pavilion hospital. You will create and update IEPs, develop daily lesson plans aligned with state standards, and apply crisis intervention strategies to keep students, staff, and visitors safe.

You will implement differentiated instruction, monitor progress, and adapt plans to meet individual student needs within the educational program.

Qualifications

• Illinois Special Education Teacher Certification (Type 10 LBS I) required.
• Experience in special education setting preferred.
• Ability to develop, implement and update IEPs and daily lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, maintains and updates IEPs for all students on the load.
• Develops daily written plans aligned with curriculum and IEP goals.

Full-Time Special Education Teacher Opportunity

This opportunity to serve as a member of the multidisiplinary treatment team for students by providing direct education services. Utilizes knowledge and skills related to crisis intervention and verbal de-escalation in order to provide a safe environment for students, visitors and staff. While developing, implementing, and updates IEP's for all students on their educational case load. Daily written plans based on curriculum, core/state standards and IEP goals.
