Pavilion Behavioral Health System in Champaign, IL is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join a multidisciplinary treatment team across inpatient and residential programs. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; CNA preferred; Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• College student pursuing degree in behavioral health, psychology, nursing or human services preferred; Nursing students strongly preferred
• One or more year of experience preferred – inpatient psychiatric hospital experience with children/adolescents/adults is a plus
• Experience with crisis intervention verbal and physical techniques
• Experience conducting group therapy sessions, taking vital signs and documenting progress notes

Mental Health Technician Opportunity -

The Pavilion Behavioral Health System includes a 110 bed inpatient hospital, a residential treatment center for youth and a residential addictions treatment program. Outpatient services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, as well as The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school serving students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. The Pavilion is located in Champaign, IL, within minutes of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus.

The Mental Health Technician is a vital part of The Pavilion's treatment team. This is a full time or part time position with an opportunity to work on the day, evening, or overnight shift. Our full time and part time positions require employees to work every other weekend and there is a competitive shift differential for the evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements
