Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person Special Education Teacher to support a Cook County, Illinois school for the 2026–2027 year. Start ASAP with an end date of 2027-05-28.

The role is on-site for 35 hours per week in the 2026-2027 school year. The candidate will develop individualized education plans, collaborate with general education staff, monitor student progress, manage behavior, and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois State LBS1 Teaching Certification for Special Education.
• Experience in inclusive or specialized classroom settings.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Collaborate with general education staff and support teams to design inclusive lesson plans.
