Job summary

West Seneca Central School District is seeking a full-time, probationary teacher to provide instruction to students with disabilities at the middle school level. The ideal candidate must be certified to teach Students with Disabilities 7-12 or 5-9, and Mathematics and Science for grades 7-12.

Instruction will occur in integrated, non-integrated, and Academic Support settings. The successful candidate will receive salary and benefits per the West Seneca Teachers' Association collective bargaining

Qualifications

• Must hold Students with Disabilities certification for 7-12 or 5-9.
• Certification to teach Special Education in Math and Science.
• Experience with planning, instruction, classroom management and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students with disabilities at the middle school level.
• Deliver instruction in both integrated and non-integrated classes plus Academic Support settings.

Job description

The West Seneca Central School District is seeking a full-time, probationary teacher to provide instruction to students with disabilities at the middle school level. The ideal candidate must be certified to teach15:1 Special Education courses in both Mathematics and Science. The assignment will include delivering instruction in both integrated and non-integrated classes along with Academic Support classroom settings.

The successful candidate will receive salary and benefits paid according to the West Seneca Teachers' Association collective bargaining agreement and commensurate with experience.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate planning and preparation, instructional skills, effective classroom management and be motivated to engage in continuous professional development.

Required Certification:

Students with Disabilities 7-12 or Students with Disabilities - All Grades and Mathematics 5-9 or, 7-9 or, 7-12

Preferred Certification:

Additional certification in any content area (i.e. ELA, Science and/or Social Studies Gr 7-12)
