Dutchess BOCES in New York is seeking a Dual-Certified Science/Special Education Teacher to design and deliver specialized science instruction for students with disabilities in classes up to 15.

The teacher aligns lessons with NYS Science Standards, modifies curricula to meet IEP goals, manages compliance, and collaborates with families and school teams to close achievement gaps in an inclusive setting.

• Dual NYS certification in Science and SWD.
• Experience teaching science in special education settings and writing NYS-compliant IEPs.
• Experience implementing positive behavioral supports in inclusive or self-contained classrooms.
• Strong co-teaching, case management, and partnering with families and school teams.

TERMS OF Employment

• Full-time, 10-month, tenure track assignment.
• Competitive salary; negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications, EXPERIENCE AND Competencies

• Dual NYS certification in Science and Students with Disabilities (SWD).
• Teaching Science in special education settings and managing/writing NYS-compliant IEPs.
• Implementing positive behavioral supports in inclusive or self-contained classrooms.
• Strong skills for co-teaching, case management, and partnering with families and school teams.

EVALUATION: Principal

SALARY: $60,000 - $80,000 approximate (BOCES Faculty Association Contract)
