Ampersand Therapy in Woodbury, TN is seeking an Exceptional Education Teacher to support students through individualized instruction, IEP development, and inclusive learning environments. This full-time role starts August 2026 for the 26-27 school year.

You will collaborate with a district and a therapist-led team, delivering a structured program with strong support and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• TN certification for Special Education Teaching with Interventionist or Comprehensive Endorsement is required.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education is required.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs.
• Provide specialized instruction across academic subjects.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a structured, supportive environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Write progress reports and maintain compliant documentation.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Incorporate technology and resources to enhance learning.
