Job Description

Wareham High School is looking for a passionate and innovative moderate disabilities special education teacher to join our team. This position will entail responsibilities for day-to-day management of the assigned classes and provision of instruction. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing opportunities for individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
  • Encouraging students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior and achievement, which includes working with support staff when needed.
  • Collaboration with related service providers.
  • Creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students' needs.
  • Employing a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media
  • Writing and implementing student IEPs.
  • Attending IEP meetings.
  • Tracking progress and quarterly reports in regards to IEP goals and achievement.
  • The supervision of classroom staff.
  • Ongoing parental contact.

Position Type: Full-time Salary: $59,457 to $72,116 Per Year
