Job summary

TSP Ed Co is seeking a compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Thornton, CO. You will support students in an inclusive classroom, building meaningful relationships and helping them reach academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional goals.

You will collaborate with families and school staff, implement individualized instruction aligned with IEPs, and contribute to student planning and progress while maintaining confidentiality and following district policies.

Qualifications

• Active Special Education credential/license for Colorado
• Bachelor's degree in Education or Special Education
• Experience with children/adolescents preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

What You'll Do

As a Special Education Teacher, you will work collaboratively with school staff, families, and related service providers to provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. Responsibilities may include:

• Developing and implementing individualized instruction based on students' IEP goals
• Providing specialized academic and behavioral support to students
• Creating engaging, differentiated lessons that meet diverse learning needs
• Monitoring and documenting student progress toward individualized goals
• Implementing accommodations, modifications, and classroom support strategies
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff
• Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student planning and goal development
• Supporting students' social-emotional, behavioral, communication, and functional development
• Maintaining accurate student records and documentation
• Maintaining student confidentiality and following all school and TSP Ed Co policies

Qualifications

• Active Special Education teaching credential/license appropriate for practice in Colorado
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• School-based and/or special education experience is a plus
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient, and committed to helping students succeed
• Ability to meet all applicable school, licensing, and employment requirements
